Meet Riley… newborn baby photography essex

This beautiful baby boy came to see me last week, for his newborn baby photography shoot. Despite arriving early he is a beautiful healthy big boy, I’m sure his mummy is glad he did arrive early! He was a perfect angel, although did prefer cuddles to the beanbag or props. Not surprising as his mum and dad clearly adore cuddling him as much as he loves their cuddles.

Sneek peek: baby phoebe newborn photography essex

This gorgeous baby girl came to see me last week and she was an absolute angel. At 4 weeks she is older than most of my newborns, so we didn’t do some of the more complicated newborn photography poses or props but we got a beautiful collection of shots which I can’t wait to share with her mum and dad very soon. Until then here is the gorgeous baby phoebe…

This beautiful baby boy came to see me last week for his newborn photography shoot, he arrived early but he is clearly going to be a strong boy as he didnt look prem (future athlete perhaps)! He loves cuddles with mummy and milk. So this little sneak peek seemed appropriate, with my new little bottles of milk…

Baby Max and Calums family photography shoot essex

These cute brothers came to visit me last weekend for the second time. I first met baby Max for his newborn photography shoot when he was a matter of days old so it was great to see him all grown up – well 8 months and sitting up! We had a fun morning and there are lots of share with their mum and dad very soon… but until then I couldnt help this sneak peek of them cuddling…

newborn baby photography magic… composites

I realise sometimes with my newborn baby photography, the magic of photoshop can be a little deceiving. So I thought I’d let you into a little secret to one of my popular shots for little ones. Some of you may have seen the beautiful shot of babies hanging in a tree. What you have probably realised is I don’t have a blossom tree in the studio, and despite having beautiful blossom trees outside our home I don’t hang babies from branches. In fact babies never actually leave the safety of a beanbag! Lots and lots of my shots are composites helped the magic of photoshop (and sometimes with the help of my amazing retoucher Larissa). I have undertaken extensive safety and photoshop training so it really is a case of DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME, as without photoshop the magic wouldnt happen. And hanging babies from a height is dangerous and shouldnt be done by anyone. But just so you can see a little of the behind the scenes magic. First is the final product but then some of the outtakes!
